We ended our Montclair High School season after a 5-4 loss in the semifinals, but had a strong 9-3-1 season that included games against top teams in our state. I started at the center forward position in each of our games, and led our team in total points (28), goals (10) and tied for most assists (8). I'm excited for an even better season next year since we will have an experienced set of senior players.
Our field hockey banquet was held over Zoom, but I was happy to be named Best Offensive Player and a captain for next year, as well as receiving first team honors from the Union/Essex Field Hockey League, and second team honors from the Super Essex Conference and the North Jersey Field Hockey Coaches Association.
Our NJ GRIT team won first place in our division at Shooting Star over Thanksgiving 2020, after going 4-0-1. We played some really good teams, but we had some fun with it and played well together. I scored 3 goals and had 1 assist in 5 games, including a goal and an assist in our 2-1 championship win over U16 Spark.
I'd love to continue playing field hockey in college. Practice, competition, and the camaraderie of a team have always been key parts of my life, and my experiences with my field hockey friends have been the best part of high school so far.

In August 2020, I attended Super Sixty Camp at Spooky Nook Sports. I trained under a diverse roster of Division III field hockey coaches and was able to get a different perspective from each one, including information on what it takes to be a college athlete. My team included a few of my club teammates plus players from other parts of New Jersey and other parts of the country. We were lucky to have a talented group of players who worked well with the coaches and with each other. Over the course of 8 games, I had 14 goals and 4 assists.
These are highlights from my sophomore year 2019 season at Montclair High School. We had a record of 15-6-1 and made it to the New Jersey Sectional Finals. I was one of the leaders in points with 9 goals and 10 assists.
